I updated WHAT I’M READING today. you can find a review of The Coldest Winter under REVIEWS. I got platelets today. My hemoglobin level was up today. It is not clear if this is due to the IVIG from yesterday or because my new marrow is grafting and doing its job. We will know by the end of the week. If the counts continue to rise, then it’s because my new marrow is working. I am still tired, but excited at the prospect of turning the corner.

I also thought “The Coldest Winter” was great. Got to love how Halberstram is able to give you a feel for the politics, grand strategy and unit level combat all at the same time.
Hey Carey!
“… level was up…”
I like the sound of that. And Sherman is looking schwanky! Rock On.
Love, Joshua
Your critique of Coldest Winter, excellent. MacArthur never spent a night in Korea, arrived for the day and returned to Tokyo in evening.
4 hrs in those days via propeller plane.Meeting with Truman at Wake Island subject to some great
reporting. Glad to hear about your progress.
Best wishes, Ed
